The Interior Design plan for this international styled modern home was to incorporate all the styles and colors the homeowners love while ensuring consistency and sophistication throughout the home. We began with custom made furniture that was scaled to fit the large rooms and has a warm contemporary feel. One challenge was that the homeowner wanted to keep their white leather sofa from the previous home. We used the white sofa in the theater room and built a wood surround to warm the space and create a styling connection with the rest of the home.
The homeowners appreciate contemporary art, pop art, and the color purple. A collection of warm contemporary art pieces are placed throughout the great room, bedrooms, hallways and loft. When looking for pop art, the homeowner fell in love with the “Lip” Art. Used in the theater room, we built on this funky style using super comfortable, purple striped lounge chairs. Purple also appears in pillows throughout the home, as a stripe in the custom made cocktail table, and in the fabric of the dining chairs.
Custom draperies, modern lighting fixtures, plush rugs, and sophisticated outdoor furniture help to round out this uniquely beautiful home.
