April 21, 2012 – Phil was named Orlando’s Best Architet by Orlando Home & Leisure. This is what they had to say “Conservative Central Florida isn’t cited as a hotbed of leading-edge residential architecture. Maybe that’s one reason Phil Kean, president of Phil Kean Designs, has been able to establish himself as perhaps the most creative and forward-looking architect in the market. His most recent project, the 2012 New American Home, is a striking reinterpretation of the classic “white box” style of the ’60s, with movable glass panels, motorized screens, a seamless flow from indoors to outdoors and every kind of energy-efficient technology available. With an AS in Interior Design Technology from Seminole State College, Jorge brings AutoCAD and project management expertise to PKD’s Interior Design Services. Jorge also has a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from Florida Sate University.

At Seminole State, Jorge is involved in multiple industry organizations serving as the 2011 Vice-President of the IIDA (International Interior Design Association), 2011 Treasurer of EGB (Emerging Green Builders), and member of the NEWH (Hospitality Industry Network).

In his personal time, Jorge enjoys playing and watching sports, jazz, and spending time with his son, family and friends.

Kelly brings a high level of organization and detailed customer service to PKD’s Interior Design Services. She has over 19 years of experience in Central Florida’s custom building industry with 11 of those years in lighting. Always a pleasure to work with, she has built many great relationships and connections within the industry.

Kelly graduated from Seminole Community College with an AA and AS in Interior Design. Outside of the office, Kelly enjoys photography, boating, traveling, and shelling. So it’s not a surprise that her favorite vacation spot is Sanibel-Captiva Island.

Known for his calm and engaging approach to interior design, Rob draws his design inspiration from the uniqueness of each client’s personality and scope of the project. With over 20 years experience in the Interior Design field, Rob creates specific, personalized spaces that reflect the ideas and lifestyle of the client, with a precise attention to detail. Rob has completed interior design projects across The United States, in Mexico and Argentina.

Rob earned his Interior Design Degree from the University of Florida’s College of Architecture, and studied abroad at Italy’s Vicenza Institute of Architecture and Mexico’s Universidad Automoma De Yucatan. His core understanding and appreciation of modern architecture and interiors is based on his classical studies and viewings from travels to Europe, South America, Central America, and throughout the United States.

A Florida Native, Rob has been a resident of Winter Park for over 15 years. Rob is a Patron of the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, and enjoys travel, and collecting classic and modern vintage paintings, art glass, and furniture.

With a Master’s in Architecture from the University of South Florida, Carrie is Phil’s Architectural Design Assistant and working toward earning her Architectural License. Carrie is passionate about sketching and photographing great architecture and has enjoyed traveling through Brazil and Japan doing so. Carrie is also a professor at Seminole State College where she teaches Architectural Drafting and Interior Design. Born and raised in Orlando, Carrie also enjoys distance running. Her favorite race was the Toronto Half Marathon and she has worked her way up just recently completing her first full marathon.

With a lifetime of experience in teamwork and leadership, Stevan’s talents support Phil Kean Designs in its continued growth. Being born and raised in Brazil, Stevan serves as PKD’s in-house Portuguese translator, a unique and convenient service that PKD is pleased to be able to provide to their Brazilian clients. Stevan’s personal passions are enjoying the outdoors and playing basketball. Steve spent most of his life on the basketball court; first being a player in college, then as a coach, and ultimately teaching as a private instructor. This experience had allowed him to develop his expertise in teambuilding.
